The Village of West Salem, Incorporated in 1865, is located in Wayne County, Ohio. The population was 1,430 at the 2020 census.
Village Hall Hours:
Monday - 9am-3pm
Tuesday - 9am-3pm
Wednesday - 9am-3pm
Thursday - 9am-3pm
Friday - 9am-3pm
Saturday & Sunday - CLOSED
Utility payments can be made at Village Hall during these hours, at Farmers State Bank, online (fees apply), mailed to Village Hall, or they can be left in the secure drop box outside Village Hall.
Council meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM. The next council meeting will be on October 13th at Town Hall located at 27 S. Main Street. All items must be in disposable contains (with the exception of tree limbs and brush which must be in bundles not to exceed 4 ft in length and does not weigh more than 50 pounds). Dirt, rocks or like material will not be accepted. Furniture and appliances are permitted but appliances that contain Freon must be red tagged indicating the Freon has been removed. The following items will not be taken: batteries, motor oil, tires, paints (if not solidified) liquids of any kind, fluorescent bulbs, and hazardous materials.
