Spring Cleaning May 6th!!!
Spring Clean Up is officially May 6th, 2025!
- Items that cannot be bagged must be cut under 4 ft and under 50 lbs.
- Appliances with freon must be removed and tagged by a certified technician.
- 55-gallon drums, barrels or cardboard boxes are not acceptable containers and may not be used.
- Upholstered furniture, mattresses, box springs and rolled carpet should be sealed and wrapped in plastic.
NOT ACCEPTED:
Hazardous or toxic wastes, oil, auto parts, batteries, steel drums, ashes, appliances containing freon, air conditioners, dehumidifier's, liquids, paint, tires, computer monitors, material containing asbestos, infectious or biohazardous waste, concrete, stones, dirt, sand, brick, construction materials, demolition materials, fluorescent bulbs, gas cans or any other flammable and/or combustible materials.

It is illegal to have grass clippings in or on any public or private roads, streets, or alleys! You must keep the roads clean and clear for traffic safety! Be thoughtful of your motorcyclist!

West Salem Police Department RAFFLE!!!
We are partnering with Quota of Wayne County to purchase a base radio unit for our department. We are selling raffle tickets for a 29 inch; 18 speed Mongoose Salva Trail Mountain bike valued at $1,699.00. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. The drawing will take place the beginning of June. Please call the police department at 419-853-4440 to purchase tickets. Your support is greatly appreciated.
DRAKE PARK IN THE VILLAGE OF WEST SALEM
Do you need a place to hold your gathering?
Welcome to Drake Park, this establishment has a full kitchen for your gathering needs, as well as a heating system for your comfort, six white picnic tables indoors, four wooden picnic tables outdoors under the pavilion, two restrooms, and of course this place has a park and a pond to go fishing right next to the building free to the public.
How to Book?
You can come into the town hall fill out a form and secure your day for a 25-dollar refundable security deposit, then upon the day of picking up the keys, you will be given a cleaning checklist, and it is a 100-dollar fee. You must pick up key the business day before your requested day.
Returning of the key
The keys must be returned either inside during business hours or you may leave them in the drop box at Village Hall. Security Deposits are refunded at the end of each month as long as the key has been returned and the place is left clean.
